In a continuation of my installation piece “Origins”, I continued carving birds out of books, this time choosing primarily children’s chapter books and young adult novels.  Having grown up in libraries and book stores as a child, I wanted to create a sense of wonder and inspire imagination through the transformation of a plain book into something more.
