Honolulu Printmaker’s Director’s Portfolio

The Honolulu Printmaker’s Impressions Benefit Print Sale is happening this Thanksgiving Weekend, November 29 to December 1.  This year, the printmaker’s new director has started the first annual Director’s Portfolio, in which he’s selected 4 rising Hawai’i artists to create an edition of 20 to be sold together as a portfolio.  I was selected along with some other awesome artists to participate and I’m so excited to be part of this new tradition.

Noe Tanigawa from Hawai’i Public Radio was wonderful enough to interview a few of us to help promote this even and talk about our work in the Director’s Portfolio.

Inspired by my interest with Polynesian wayfinding – methods of navigating without instruments – this edition of andprinted-linocut over cyanotype prints illustrates a new visual direction I’ve been exploring over the past few months.

Please join us at the Honolulu Printmaker’s Print Sale at the Honolulu Museum of Art School (Linekona) from 10-4 over Thanksgiving Weekend.
